IS GEN Z IN REVIVAL?

Have you heard?
Something’s stirring in the next generation that we haven’t seen in years.
Is Gen Z in revival?
For the past two years we’ve seen subtle, promising signs—but recently the shift has been undeniable, especially in the wake of Charlie Kirk.
Gen Z is now attending church more than any other generation, and their weekly Bible reading has jumped 63% in a single year.
Public baptisms are happening on college campuses in numbers we’ve never witnessed.
For decades, the trend moved in only one direction. Barna, Pew, and Gallup all showed the same story: a steady decline in faith among the next generation.
As recently as 2020, nearly one in three young adults identified with no faith at all.
But suddenly, the tide is turning.
Is it a revival?
At the very least, the ground is moving.
So what changed?
There’s a growing realization among young people that the promises of secular culture have fallen flat. The purpose they were handed feels empty.
And now, they’re searching for something real—something deeper.
And that search is leading them back to the only source of true meaning: Jesus Christ.
This is the first time in our lifetime that we’re witnessing a reversal—young people returning to Christ, rediscovering His Church, and reigniting a hunger for truth.
That’s good news.
Actually—it’s fantastic news.
But if God is truly moving through this next generation, we can’t stop at celebration.
We can’t be content with a generation simply coming back to church.
We have to ask: What happens next?
Revival can’t stay confined to Sunday mornings. It must flow into workplaces, neighborhoods, and everyday life.
If we can help this generation understand not only what they’ve been saved from, but what they’ve been saved for—to glorify God in every part of life, including their work—then we can shape culture from the inside out.
Because God doesn’t just call pastors and missionaries.
He calls builders, nurses, designers, caregivers, entrepreneurs—ordinary people living faithfully in the places He’s assigned them.
We may be standing in one of the greatest opportunities of our lifetime.
The next generation is searching for something real.
Let’s disciple them—not only to believe in Jesus, but to follow Him into every corner of their lives.
To join God’s Kingdom-building mission in the world.
Because the same Spirit that’s reviving hearts is ready to activate this generation for a purpose.
Let’s give them the mission they were made for.
