What are MY13 Marketplace internships?
MY13 is a five-week summer internship experience where high school students discover purpose through real-world work. Through Made4More, students are paired with Christian mentors in the marketplace who show them that every job matters to God.
What does "my13" mean?
Researchers estimate the average person will spend 13+ years of their life working—more than any other waking activity. MY13 challenges students to evaluate the question "What if God could use my career to serve His purpose?"
WHEN DO THEY TAKE PLAcE?
All internships take place during the summer months of June and July.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Are you a student interested in learning more about how God is using his people in different careers?

2. Apply for one after April 12th, 2026.

- We will review your application.
- We will conduct a short zoom interview from the scheduled time you chose during the application.
- We let you know if you will be placed in an internship - OR not. (Around May 15th)
- If placed, we will communicate to you expectations, schedule, and the plan!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What happens if I need to miss time?
If there are other commitments or other things like vacation, you might be able to schedule around them. Communicating with your partner and internship coordinator will be important, just be mindful of the participation requirements of the internship and the agreement made after being selected.
Can I have another job during that time?
Yes, if you have a part-time job that can work around the schedule for the internships listed below. We ask that the internship be your first scheduling priority.
How long are the internships?
All the internships are designed to be a total of 30-40 hours over a 4-5 week period in the summer. Internships will have different start/end dates and schedules depending on the opportunity. Generally speaking, it will look similar to 1-2 days a week for 5-10 total weekly hours. Check below for specific information.
Where do the MY13 classes/mentoring take place, how does that work?
We have our group kickoff day and celebration to start and end the internship experience. Both these session will include teaching and mentoring on faith, work, and purpose. One additional one-on-one mentoring sessions will be conducted at the place of internship. Students are also expected to go through a few small lessons in their curriculum during the experienced and discuss what they learning about faith and work. That's it!
How does it start?
Once you've been notified of placement into the internship, your initial introduction will be at the kickoff. From there you will start on your first scheduled day!
How are students placed?
When a student applies, we will conduct a short interview. We will review all applicants and determine which student is a best fit for the internship. So apply now if you're interested!
If I pre-apply, does that mean I will get chosen first?
Pre-apply students will receive priority access to what internship will become available before they are released, and be able to fill out the full application before they open in the spring. They will also be interviewed first. However, pre-apply DOES NOT receive priority selection. All internships placements will be determined by which student is the best fit.
Do I have to attend the fair to apply for an internship?
No, students can apply for an internship if they are unable to make the fair. However, the fair is a great opportunity to meet all of our partners, make a connection, and learn more about the opportunity.
Are these paid or unpaid internships?
All of our student internships are unpaid, with the exception of most of our trades partners. Trades internships are designed to be more time demanding of a student's time and labor, requiring them to become a paid employee of the business during the summer.
